Updated IE3 scope

From July 1st 2021 the Ecodesign directive is extended. One of the changes is that it will now include 8 poled IE3 motors. For OEM’s using 8 pole motors this can address the need for application design evaluations.

The new Ecodesign rules mean that electric motors with a power output between 0.75 kW to 1000 kW in 2, 4, 6 and 8 poles design must be IE3 as minimum. Therefore the majority of OEM’s with an electric motor demand and activities in the European markets will be affected by the updated directive.

Hoyer Motors offers the IE3 8 pole range from stock. And we are ready with a full documentation package including datasheets, 3D drawings and type test reports of the IE3 8 pole motors. Please contact your local Hoyer branch for Ecodesign sparring.

You can find all documentation here.
