Hoyer appoints new CEO
Henrik Sørensen is new CEO of Hoyer and will be joining the company on 1 June 2018. He comes from a long career at Wärtsilä, most recently as the director of the pump division.
Hoyer has been looking for a new CEO to move the company forward, and Henrik Sørensen is a strong match for these needs. Søren Ø. Sørensen, Chairman of the board, Hoyer Group elaborates:
“Henrik Sørensen gives us a leader with extensive experience from some of the key segments of Hoyer such as Marine, Water & Wastewater and Oil & Gas. He has a valuable blend of skill sets within strategy, sales, operations and leadership, all of which are crucial elements in achieving our ambitious growth plans. Furthermore he has a motivating drive where status quo is not an option, which is very much in line with the corporate culture at Hoyer.”
Henrik Sørensen has a background as civil engineer combined with different management and leadership educations. He is looking forward to the journey that lies ahead.
“Coming from one of Hoyer’s big customers, it is obvious that they have a strong position in the market and fill an important gap between the largest suppliers and lesser known brands. Their core values such as competitiveness, quality and service are directly aligned with my business approach, and I know they walk the talk when promising fast responses and deliveries.
The ongoing changes in most market segments only further support the great potential for a flexible and unique supplier as Hoyer. I look forward to bringing my experience and market insight into play, and be part of the strategy to continue growing the company,” Henrik Sørensen says.
The position as Hoyer CEO includes the two separate business units Hoyer Motors and Hoyer Transmissions.
