Hoyer and VMS Group create a global one-stop partner for power and motion solutions

Hoyer, a global supplier of electric motors and automation solutions, and VMS Group, a leading marine service provider, today announced the creation of Hoyer VMS Group. The new company combines complementary strengths to deliver a unique global offering for power and motion solutions across marine and industrial markets – one partner that can supply, service, repair, and optimise critical systems throughout their lifetime.

It will organise its commercial activities into three value streams New Sales, Project Sales, and Aftermarket Service that ensure a continued dedicated focus on OEM motor supply, while enabling growth within energy-optimisation projects, and long-term fleet support.

A New Owner and a Shared Heritage 

The merger also marks a change in ownership, as VMS Group passes the torch to Hoyer Group.

The owners of Hoyer primarily based the merger on a shared understanding of future customer needs and market dynamics.
