We have many colleagues working at our Asian HQ in Ningbo and we are naturally concerned about their wellbeing. Needless to say that the same goes for all our Chinese business partners.
The Chinese facilities are an essential part of the Hoyer Group supply chain. Until now the outbreak has not been expected to have a noticeable impact on our ability to supply. However, for our HQ in Ningbo the holiday period related to Chinese New Year has now been extended to February 17 by the Chinese authorities. A support team of key employees from all departments is established virtually. By working proactively the team will ensure constant customer dialogue while preparing to be fully operational as soon as restrictions are lifted.
The majority of Hoyer production sites have returned as of today and production is initiated the coming days. A growing challenge is domestic travelling and transportation where further restrictions are put into action. The Hoyer Ningbo team is monitoring the development closely.
The exact impact by above is continuously being assessed and analysed. In the case of potential challenges the customers affected will be contacted immediately. Until further notice we will perform as always which is further supported by our extensive stock facilities in Europe and Asia. Furthermore, our European production facilities remains unaffected.
As the situation is developing day by day we will keep monitoring all available information and communicate with our business partners accordingly.
