Hoyer establishes US subsidiary to accelerate wind market services

Located in Houston Texas the primary focus the coming years is to support the US wind service market with local availability of IEC metric electric motors. One of the main drivers behind the investment has been the increased demand from US wind service companies as well as European OEM manufactures within hydraulics and cooling applications for wind turbines.

It is expected that Hoyer Inc. will also allow Hoyer to expand their business within other markets such as industrial OEM’s as several of their European customers operate with US subsidiaries.

Availability is key

Part of the Hoyer Inc. setup is the establishment from a local stock of IEC metric electric motors as short delivery times are essential to the wind service industry. The first 350 motors are ready from stock in Houston in February 2021 and throughout the year Hoyer will continue to increase the stock availability.

The stock

The initial stock consists of UL/CSA approved Wind Motors designed for hydraulic and cooling applications such as oil filtering units, oil cooling and lubrication systems. All motors are available in 575V-60Hz or 690V-60Hz design depending on the turbine specifications.
