Operational Purchaser with international responsibility

Hoyer is seeking an Operational Purchaser with technical and commercial insight. The Operational Purchaser is a newly established position and it will contain both tactical and operational responsibility.

Negotiation in relation to projects, optimising stocks

As Operational Purchaser at Hoyer you will be responsible for placing orders at our suppliers, negotiating prices and terms on customer projects and manage selected indirect categories. You will be working closely with your purchase colleagues in China and Denmark, sales department in China and Denmark and the workshop management in Denmark.

Your main tasks are:

  • Negotiation of prices and terms on customer projects
  • Placing stock orders at suppliers
  • Handling of customer enquiries on motors
  • Participate in category team work in the motor category
  • Contract and operational responsible for selected indirect categories
  • Ad-hoc tasks within the purchase function

Purchase experience and strong negotiation skills

The ideal candidate has documented purchase experience, negotiation skills and project management experience. You have a technical insight combined with commercial skills. We expect you to have at least 3 years of experience from a similar position. Excel is your go-to tool and you must be at a high business level.

You are a self-driven person with a can-do attitude. With your outgoing personality you are able to establish close relations with suppliers and colleagues. Furthermore, you are result oriented, structured and a team player

The position will take you traveling 20 days a year in Asia and Europe.

As Operational Purchaser you will be working out of Denmark and report to the Global Supply Chain Manager. Strategic and operational purchase at Hoyer is organised in our global purchase department. We have two purchase offices located respectively in Denmark and China.
